I have battled with on again off again weed use for over 15 years. Although I can’t honestly say that smoking pot is nothing but trouble, it has cost me some good jobs and relationships so I reached the point where it just wasn’t worth it. It was a change for sure to stop smoking, it had become part of my routine. I don’t think it was a physical addiction, but it sure was hard to stop. My body was used to Marijuana intake on a regular basis, and when that changed, it did not like that. Some tips I learned along the way:
-
ASK FOR SUPPORT, NON-SMOKERS WANT YOU TO JOIN THEM.
-
SAY TO OTHERS: “I DON’T GET HIGH ANYMORE!”
-
Set a DATE and STICK to it.
-
REPLACE POT with NEW ACTIVITIES and INTERESTS.
-
AVOID SITUATIONS AND PLACES WHERE YOU used to get stoned.
